Profile® Products is expanding its employee base with two new hires. Lauren Deem joins the team as a technical services associate and Dave Snyder, CPESC, will step into the role of the newly created alternative energy market development manager.

Deem will be responsible for overseeing Profile’s Soil Solutions Software (PS³) and assisting customers with soil testing and technical support. Deem has her bachelor’s degree in environmental science from Allegheny College and her master’s degree in natural resources and environmental management from the University of Hawaii. She has authored several publications investigating the effects of biochar on the management, accumulation and sequestration of carbon in soils.

“Lauren is a highly skilled and knowledgeable professional that we are grateful to have on our team,” said Marc S. Theisen, M.Sc., CPESC, CPSWQ, CESSWI, vice president of business development and technical services. “Her expertise is a perfect match for our sustainable approach to revegetation and erosion control.”

In his role, Snyder will be responsible for assisting in the development of opportunities in the alternative energy market and building relationships with key influencers. He will also be working with the current sales and distribution team to control the technical selling process from generation of specifications to project completion. Snyder has over 35 years of experience in the geosynthetic and erosion control industries and has a bachelor’s in marketing from Pennsylvania State University.

Deem will be based in Tennessee and Snyder will be based out of North Carolina.
